Aine Mcdonnell, Rathdown Enterprise Board Mentor
Aine has nineteen years design experience within the ladies retail  clothing sector ; sixteen of which were spent on the frontlines with Sasha (45 shops nationwide) culminating in the role of Design Director. Aine oversaw all aspects of the value chain and  set up a separate  business unit that traded as Sasha manufacturing , making garments initially in  Louth and Dublin Ten years ago, the move was made to contract C.M.T. (cost manufacture and trim) in Morocco and China to compete with international retailers like the Arcadia group, the Mosaic group and  Debenhams to name a few. Academically Aine gained her MBA in Retail from the University of Sterling while at Sasha and has consulted to a number of fashion retailers and manufacturers since. Sasah was sold four years ago and gave Aine a chance to lift her head to take a personal view of the market.  Aine decided to return to her first love, design and set up Studio A. Studio A is a retail design studio, unique in the fact that  visitors can book an appointment with Aine  who will personally aid the client to  choose from a range of evening wear,  day wear and  accessories. These are then created to complement the client’s individual size and style.


Andreas Pettersson,Fashion photographer,
Andreas hails from a farm an hour outside Stockholm, Sweden; he started to photograph at age16 and has never looked back.
He started of working mainly in documentary photography and have had several exhibits from these projects in Sweden and Europe.
He came to Ireland in 2006 and worked for McCall Studio before going free lance in November 2007. His Fashion work is being published by
publications as The Irish Times, Sunday times style The Independent, Sunday Life,  Irish Tatler, Image, Noise..and many more.


Angela Scanlon, Fashion Stylist & journalist

Angela Scanlon is undoubtedly one of the freshest and most exciting talents to come out of Ireland in recent years. As a stylist, journalist and broadcaster she has rapidly become the one-to-watch on the fashion scene. As well as her monthly column in Tatler, she is a regular contributor to other publications both at home and abroad and has become well known for her witty and but informative pieces. She's also contributing editor of The Irish Independent online and works as a fashion consultant for a growing number of brands.

Professor Angela Woods, Head of Design Faculty NCAD;
Professor Angela Woods was appointed Head of Faculty in 1996. Since graduating from the Royal College of Art <http://www.rca.ac.uk/> with an MDes in Fashion Design, Angela has combined design, consultancy and teaching, and plays an active roll in the Institute of Designers in Ireland  the U.K.’s H.E.F.C. Research Assessment Council and the London Institute Quality Review Committee. Angela continues to travel worldwide, visiting universities and colleges to lecture, attend conferences and promote the NCAD Faculty of Design  and the work of its students. Angela is committed to enhancing Irelands third level design education provision by strategic academic and research development at BDes, MA and PhD level


Carmel Breheny, Marketing manager for M&S Ireland
Carmel Breheny, grew up in rural Sligo, the second eldest of 6 siblings and emigrated to London after completing her leaving cert. She has worked in Marks & Spencer since 1988 in various roles across buying, merchandising and sales development. Whilst in London, Carmel studied French and Psychology. A self proclaimed ‘musical anorak’ She also worked part time with the Mean Fiddler Organisation working Front of house at venues (Forum, Hanover Grand etc.)  and festivals (Reading, Phoenix, and Madstock) run by the organisation. She did this not for the money but for the free access to any hot gig in London. She joined Marks & Spencer Ireland in 1999 to set up a buying team to implement the Euro. Part of that role was buying Womenswear & Lingerie for the Irish stores. She has worked as a sales developer for Womenswear, Lingerie and Beauty and was part of the team launching Per una in 2000. After graduating from Dublin Business School in 2005, following the completion of a part time Marketing qualification, Carmel became Marketing manager for Marks & Spencer Ireland. Since then, she has overseen the opening of 8 new stores as well as the relaunch of 4 existing. Carmel manages the supply base that produce all Euro POS and publications, the external PR team, the Media buying company, all PR events and the 3 charity partners. Carmel thinks of herself as positive and resourceful and enjoys the company of positive people. She thinks herself fortunate to have so many amazing friends.Her favourite method of relaxation is walking, cooking  and spa treatments. Her guilty pleasures are Facebook, Heat magazine and watching Glee.Recently, Carmel has introduced M&S Ireland on Facebook and Twitter. She is currently working on an exciting new project that she hopes will go live for M&S this year. Carmel enjoys the diversity of her role and believes a person is never too old to learn!

Carrie Ann Moran - Rediscovery Centre Ballymun
Carrie Ann Moran, Fashion Director, Rediscover Fashion, a 100% recycled fashion line,  is responsible for design and construction of the project's collections. She also coordinates training workshops, alteration services and the day-to-day administration of the project.   Following completion of a Law degree in Dublin Institute of Technology Carrie Ann turned her academic attention to her great love of fashion, and in 2007 graduated in Fashion Design. A highly talented designer, she quickly became recognised as an up-and-coming force within the fashion industry dedicated to sustainability in design and construction. Already equipped with her own fashion label, in January 2008 Carrie Ann redirected her focus and entered a competition  to work for the Rediscover Fashion Project and assist in creating it’s first  100% recycled collection. Carrie Ann has been working for the project ever since and is delighted to be working within a project where not only does she get to work in her dream job as a fashion designer but she also gets to deliver a message on sustainability.  Something she has always been personally passionate about. Carrie Ann is also currently completing a diploma in Image Consultancy and Fashion Styling.

Constance Harris, Fashion Editor of the Sunday Independent
Constance Harris has been fashion editor of the Sunday Independent and Life Magazine since 1998 and worked as a stylist in the industry 10 yrs prior to that. Her experience gives her a unique understanding of Irish fashion at a grass roots level. She has contributed to Open House, Off the Rails , The Afternoon Show and is a noted commentator on all things aesthetic. She is hugely passionate about Irish fashion and pushes the remit for sustainable fashion on a weekly basis among Irish fashion readers.


Eilis Boyle, Fashion Designer

Based in Ireland, Eilis began her own collection in 2005 by bringing together her assortment of experiences and channelling them into luxury, wearable women’s wear. The label has consolidated it’s presence in Japan and USA after 9 successful seasons showing in Paris Fashion Week. Eilis Currently working on her 10th collection which will be shown in her first solo show in Ireland and will introduce her new exclusive range ‘Made in Ireland’. The collection has been featured in the International Herald Tribune, Financial Times: How to Spend It, French L’Officiel, Japanese Vogue, Japanese Harper’s Bazaar, Indian L’Officiel as well as most major publications in Ireland.

Galvea Kelly, Online PR and Marketing Consultant
Galvea's always had a bit of Vogue about her. Her mothers people hail from Boolavogue Co.Wexford. Having qualified in  Business and Legal studies from UCD, she completed a Masters in International Business at Smurfit. She is a Qualified Financial Adviser and has a Diploma in Digital Marketing and Advertising. Her client portfolio consists of a wardrobe full of weird and wonderful people, Milners ,Knitters,Visual artists, Musicans as well as festivals and some corporates. Some of her clients include Toni and Guy,Kings of Concrete,Digital Marketing Institute and the Berlin festival. Galvea is very involved in start-ups and upcoming Irish designers such as Heather Finn, Mark T Burke and Stephanie Foy.

Ronan Harrington, Director, Acts of Random Kindness Ltd
Having graduated top of his class in Psychology at the National University of Ireland, Galway, Ronan moved into the arena of international relations, working at a think tank in the Middle East before joining the Lisbon Treaty Section of the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs. Ronan took his emerging knowledge of movement promotion and trend adoption to the world of fashion, joining Cameron Stewart as director of Arkº, a clothing brand on a mission to reconnect society by encouraging acts of random kindness. Sophie Rieu (Unicorn Design), Ethical Designer
Sophie Rieu is one of the pioneers of ethical fashion in Ireland. A Wicklow-based French designer, she studied design at the Grafton Academy, Dublin. She is a former environmental journalist and worked for Green MEP Patricia McKenna before she founded Unicorn Design as a sustainable/socially responsible designerwear label in 2003. Unicorn is currently stocked in 9 boutiques across Ireland; 2 in France; 1 in Germany and 1 in Japan. It is soon to be stocked in Elaine Curtis (voted best Irish boutique of the year 2009 by Image magazine); the Design Centre in Dublin's Powerscourt townhouse...and in the leading ethical fashion boutique in Paris: Green in the City.Unicorn is a member of the UK Ethical Fashion Forum and exhibited at Dublin Fashion Week; Showcase Ireland; London Fashion Week's Estethica section as well as at the Ethical Fashion Show, Paris; So Ethic, Pret a Porter; Paris and Innatex (leading natural and organic textiles fair) in Hoffheim Wallau in Germany.
